SEPTEMBER 16 2007

Read and interpret the following quote by Benjamin Franklin. Describe what you think it means. Do you agree with it, why or why not. Share any experiences that may help you describe your view.
“Be slow in choosing a friend, slower in changing”
-Benjamin Franklin
(1706-1790)

I believe that the quote by Benjamin Franklin means you should not choose a friend so easily because you never know who are the back stabbers or who will be your ride or die chick. Some people might call you their friend but deep down inside they don't mean it. A friend is someone who doesn't talk behind your back someone who is their for you through thick and thin. Someone who got your back for anything even if your wrong. The slower in changing part of the quote probably means change will come upon slower. For instance, most people change their attitude around others. If you don't have that someone that changes you you wont have that problem.

I did have an experience with someone but i just didn't call her my friend i called her my best friend. Her name is Bianca. We would hang out everyday but all of a sudden she started hanging around this gay girl named Ely that goes to Carol city high. Then she started talking to her ex boyfriend again. Her ex boyfriend didn't like me so he lied to her and said that he heard from one of my guy friends that i said that she became gay. So of course typical her she believed him. Bianca got mad at me for a while. The girl Ely started to talk bad about me calling me names such as I'm soft and ima this and a that but you know what. She was the soft one writing to me on myspace when she knows where i live. Well anyways we are now aquatints no longer friends.
